“People and Places” and “Remembering the Past”
Pueblo, Colo.—May 15, 2017—Steel City Art Works will host the opening reception of two shows: “People and Places” and “Remembering the Past,” on First Friday Art Walk, June 2, 5 to 8 p.m., 216 S. Union Ave., Pueblo. Both shows will hang for one month.
The “People and Places” show features artists Lynn Chapman, Kathy Chavez, Nancy Goodenough, and Sally Lincoln. The show will include Chapman’s pastels representing the people of the planet; Chavez’s oxidized copper wire weaving with gemstone jewelry; Goodenough’s pastels of Hawaii; and Lincoln’s oils of a recent trip to Ethiopia.
The evening also includes guest watercolorist Edmond Gallegos, whose “Remembering the Past” work reflects on the canyons, mesas and architecture of the Southwest along with the simplicity and lifestyle of the past—all inspired by his cultural, historical and religious roots.
“Survey of Land and Life No. 4”
at The Downtown Bar
Pueblo, Colo.—May 15, 2017 —The Downtown Bar, 103 Central Plaza, Pueblo, will host “Survey of Life and Land No. 4” on Friday, June 2. The artists are: Linda Cates (photography); Steven Mason (still life); and Mo Keenan-Mason (animals).
